| Hydroxyl-Modified Vinyl Chloride/Vinyl Acetate Copolymers VAF. VAF vinyl resin equivalent to DOW VAGF. A high molecular weight copolymer resin containing approximately 81 percent vinyl chloride, 4 percent vinyl acetate, and 15 percent hydroxyalkyl acrylate, with the hydroxyl content at 1.8 percent. VAF has excellent adhesion on paper, polysulfone resin, acrylic resin, PVC, ABS, PC and the surface of ink. VAF often used with other film-forming material in order to improve the coating performance, and enhance paint adhesion, flexibility, tenacity, hardness and chemical resistance. The hydroxyl functional group permits crosslinking reactions for thermoset coating systems that exhibit outstanding chemical and water resistance.
